A day on ‘The Hoof’ inc dissection with Trevor Jones

Outline

Participants will gain insight understanding what constitutes health in the hoof and foot and how this can be achieved in the modern domestic environment, the day is designed to be both fun and informative

Location & Duration

Held at Jewels Stables, Arundel on Saturday 7^th  September 2024

Arrivals from 9am with a 09:30 start and 16:30 finish.

Contents

The morning will include lecture and discussions outlining:

• Cutting edge theories on foot function
• The effect of the environment on the horses’ foot
• Identifying through observation the health of the horses’ foot
• How to provide stimulus to help restore health to the hoof and foot

The afternoon will include dissection of the equine distal limb to gain a thorough understanding of the concepts discussed in the morning lecture.
