As a BHS Accredited Senior Coach and Quad X® Strength and Conditioning Coach, I work with riders to build authentic partnerships. My training helps improve your position and communication while conditioning your horse for strength and balance, fostering a confident and effective team.

There is nothing I love more than helping riders build a genuine partnership with their horse.
For me, it’s about ethical coaching and a deep passion for equine strength & conditioning and therapy.
My journey with horses started young, thanks to my amazing mum who was a rider and instructor herself.

I was fortunate to grow up as a Pony Club member, riding all sorts of wonderful ponies and horses who taught me so much and gave me a lot of old-fashioned fun! I look back at those early years, filled with training and competitions, with so much gratitude.

In my teens and beyond, I competed successfully in BSJA and Hunter Trials. Later in life, my appreciation for Dressage truly blossomed, and I was completely hooked. I’ve trained to advanced level and enjoyed some lovely successes at National Championships along the way.

My time training at the unique TTT  (Training the Teachers of Tomorrow) centre was hugely influential, embedding a classical style and ethos that still guides my coaching today.

Now in my 40s, I’m still as dedicated as ever. I continue to pursue my own learning and growth, attending regular coaching and CPD sessions. My passion for learning and deepening my understanding of these wonderful creatures will never stop.

My Years at Jewels Stables

For seven wonderful years, from 2007 to 2014, I had the joy of running my own ABRS-approved riding school, ‘Jewels Stables’. It was a special time, focused entirely on building a supportive community and creating the highest standards of care and tuition for our horses and riders.

With the help of an outstanding group of dedicated volunteers and working pupils, we trained aspiring instructors for their UKCC, ABRS, and BHS exams.

Looking back, I remember a constant buzz of activity and fun! We hosted exams, charity shows, learning programmes, hacks, and camps, bringing so much joy to riders of all ages and backgrounds.

While the old riding school site & chapter closed in 2014, my passion for coaching and running events didn’t end. I now continue this work on a freelance basis, both at the new ‘Jewels Stables’ site and at other equestrian venues, bringing the same community spirit and high standards to everything I do.

Jewels is one of the most intuitive riding coaches I've ever had. Jewels instinctively knows what works for each individual and she adapts her style of teaching to suit any level. I started with her over 3 years ago on my first horse, doing intro and jumping 50cm (that felt huge) and now she's coaching me into Novice and jumping 90-95. I love how much I learn about my riding and my horse during the sessions. As you can tell, I can highly recommend Jewels
